Oracle DC Metro Station Takeover
My team coordinated a takeover of two DC Metro stations as part of an awareness campaign spearheaded from the executive level. Given the large number of placements within the stations, it was important to have one person in charge of the look and feel to ensure a consistent presentation. I was chosen to take on this task, adapting a total of six messages across various formats.
I started with one of their basic poster formats to secure approvals, working within the look and feel of a standard Oracle corporate ad. I was briefed to create a decorative element featuring the branded phrase "Tomorrow's Cloud, Today". This was quite a design exercise since I needed to build several polished options in the space of just a few hours. The version that was chosen had required the greatest time investment since I had to gather as many icons from the branded icon library as possible that would relate to the theme of public sector work and security, and then arrange them into a cloud shape.
I worked with my team to determine which messages were best suited to each format (the words "Autonomous" and "Intelligent", being the longest, were saved for the most extreme horizontal formats, for example), using the basic poster design I'd initially created to build out the remainder of the units.
After one of the station takeovers went live, my team recieved a request to translate these messages into a single-page ad for an event guide, so I had the chance to reconceive the six messages we'd originally produced, translating them into a design that conformed with Oracle's corporate ad catalog.
